What is the best food for Green Singing Finch?

I am thinking of getting Green Singing finches, got the cage already. Different sources have different takes on this, but some recommend finch seed mixes and some say canary seed mixes are better. Which is better? I know it’s prolly best to buy your own seeds wholesale and mix them, but I havn’t found a good place yet and am not knowledgeable about different kinds of seed.

Also will take any other advice on these finches (i’m a beginner), here’s the cage I got (L01 model 30X15X21):

You obviusly did not understand what cage I bought, I did my research – my cage is as wide and taller than the one you are showing.

I’m hoping you can return the cage because your finches will need something roomier and something wider than taller. Finches enjoy flying around their cages and need plenty of room to be comfortable.

The first bird cage on the page, the Aviary Bird Cage, is an example of what I’m talking about. I don’t know how many finches you plan on getting, but bigger is always better.

I would recommend giving the green singing finches both canary seed and finch seed mixes. Also, give them some song food, such as seeds which contain niger, poppy, or rape. Other good foods for green singing finches are pellets, millet, sprouted soaked seeds, a mashed, hard-boiled egg mixture, cuttlebone, and fruits and veggies. They can eat mealworms, too.
